Who We Are
Harford Cable Network Foundation was formed in 2015 as a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to charitably supporting the efforts of Harford Cable Network.
Who We Support
Harford Cable Network is Harford County’s only PEG (public access, education and government) channel. Operated by the County Council and overseen by an Advisory Board, HCN reaches more than 70,000 cable subscribers on Comcast channel 21, Armstrong channel 7 and Verizon FiOS channel 31. In addition, they offer their programming On Demand at http://hcn.viebit.com. Their mission is to serve the citizens of Harford County by providing programming that informs, educates, entertains and promotes a sense of community.
Harford Cable Network Foundation exists to support Harford Cable Network’s efforts to transform local television into a multimedia experience that informs, educates and entertains our community.
During the last 30 years, Harford Cable Network has helped hundreds of county organizations and citizens share their messages on-air. Now the community has the opportunity to show its support and help HCN continue to expand its programming and facilities.
Harford Cable Network Foundation is entering a two year campaign, Transforming Television in Harford County to the Digital Age, to raise $600,000 by the end of FY 2019 in support of HCN’s efforts to upgrade their facility and programming to high definition to better serve the community. Please consider making a donation and supporting local television.
